"Cheer leading?" he echoed quietly, looking rather confused. He visuallised some sort of gathering lead by someone who'd be encouraging them to cheer. He didn't have time to question this image before Larita suddenly spoke, shouting to summon the two she selected to her side.

Dancing... jumping... rhythm. It seemed simple enough. Yet Lunie found his legs trembling as he stepped forward, looking back at the others in an invitational manner as if he willed them to interrupt him before he did anything he regretted. Sighing feverishly, he turned to face the desk Larita was sitting at, fidgetting uncomfortably with the edge of his tail. "I hope I'm not so bad for your eyes," he cooed shyly, trying to add a touch of humour into his speech.

Taking a deep breath, he poised, one arm raised above his head and the other on his hips. Balancing on his toes, he lightly stepped forward, placing one foot in front of the other delicately. His breathing slowed to a rhythmatic level as he allowed himself to be fully immersed into the routine. The world quickly became rather faded around him. The sensation was familiar - it was not his first time performing, nor would it be his last. But the gut feeling of anxiousness would always remain.

He bent forward, placing both of his palms flat on the ground before him before kicking his legs up into a handstand, maintaining this position for a few seconds before before he allowed his legs to slowly lower themselves to the ground before him. His palms were removed from the ground as his legs slid across the ground - one forwards, one backwards - into the splits. He twisted his legs into a tucked position before using the coiled energy to jump up like a spring, splitting his legs wide in midair before landing on two feet.

The movement didn't stop there - he continued to prance along, leaping like a stag and twirling as he landed. After kicking a leg high above his head, he seemed to pause and drift into a backwards somersault directly into a handstand before regaining his upright position. A few spins were done, much with the grace of a ballerina, some in which a leg was raised to contortionist standards. Taking a steps backwards, he tensed as he prepared himself for his next stunt. He surged forward, his feet weightlessly gliding across the floor until he pushed himself into a front flip, landing on folded knees which skidded forward slightly.

His sharp, focused gaze eventually calmed, and he allowed his limbs to relax, panting. He smiled dozily, a feeling of dizziness rushing to his head. "How'd I do..?" he slurred, looking around sheepishly.

Jami watched more people enter the room and greeted them all on her way to the side of the group to let other have a go. In the corner of her eye she saw Larita scribbling something down. If Jami got on the squad what would Owen think of her? Would they have those skimpy outfits? Would He even like that type of thing? That was one thing she was surely not sure of. What was Owen's type!? He had shown some interest in her but she was sure it was just in a best friend way still.

She had to focus on what was happening as of the moment though. That was cheering. What would they even cheer for? There were no teams and it made sense. There were no rivals to AALC, as far as she knew. When Larita said she was in Jami got really excited. She ran over to larita and stood next to her. "This is going to be great! It was a good idea Larita!"

As Lunie did a little routine Jami smiled. He was just so darn cute. There is probably no one in the world who wouldn't love the fluff ball.

yuuki sighed wrung her wrists nervously before stepping forward. in her mind, she tried to imagine the chorus of the song "firework" playing in her head for inspiration as she ran forward, jumped, and propelled herself through a series of forward handsprings. when her feet hit on the final one, she launched herself into the air as hard as she could, while still keeping a fluid movement, and used the momentum to push herself through a double flip with a slight twist in it so that she would land facing in the direction that she had come. carefully, she followed the rhythm of the music in her head as she did a pop/ballet mix dance style through two lines of the song. as soon as the chorus hit "make 'em go oh, oh oh" she did a little leap before spinning quickly in place on one leg. as she spun, she brought her right leg up (spinning clockwise) with the knee bent, and both her upper and both the upper and lower section of her leg parallel to the floor. then, she pulled it straight up into the air against the side of her head.

in a push of momentum to bring her out of the spin, she quickly brought the leg down, and straight out at a 90 degree angel to the ground, arching her back and throwing herself into a kind of barrel turn, her body moving parallel to the floor for a split second. suddenly, she took a running start and launched her self in the air. her wings thrust out from behind her back, and she pulled herself up sharply, into a backwards loop-dee-loop with a little turn, coming quite close to the chair that larita sat in. when she came close to the ground at the center of the gym, she angled her wings very slightly to slow her decent, before pulling them in, dipping forward and landing on her hands with her back facing larita. she pushed through some back springs, then a quick round-off, before finally landing in a forward splits, panting

Hryshen blinked. She wasn't expecting such a reaction, let alone being drafted as the cheerleading coach. She moved to one of the chairs Larita had pointed out and sat down. Her face showed clear confusion. That expression went away quickly while Lunie preformed. In her opinion he did very well and she clapped quietly. She decided it wasn't horrible being chosen for something she didn't quite sign up for. She looked at Larita, seeing what she would think. She was about to ask her opinion when a girl started her own routine. It was just as good as Lunie's in Hryshen's opinion. Again she clapped quietly at the end of the girl's routine.

At first she was skeptical. Lunie was cute, but at first look he didn't seem very, well cheerleading-like. Under a normal situation, which this hardly was, she would probably have declined the fur-ball when he walked in the door. Nothing personal, it was just the way it went. But at this place, the need for superficial choices was pretty much null, and behind his appearance, Larita had to admit that Lunie's moves were quite good. And his size would make him a perfect flier. She pursed her lips as she considered and nodded at Lunie once he finished. She wanted to keep her final judgement to herself for the moment, but she didn't want to leave his question unanswered. "That was fine, Lunie," she said flatly in order to keep up the appearance of professionalism.

As Jami came and joined her behind the table, Larita turned her head to smile at the girl. "I know, right!" she said in response to the girl's statement. Her voice was high and overly-spirited. She saw Jami as more of an equal now that she was a part of this elite group that Larita was trying to create. "Keep your eyes open," she whispered to the girl and then motioned to the rest of those who were trying out.

Larita narrowed her eyes as the pale girl took her turn. She remembered her now, the girl from the dirt road, the one that gave her the creepy water umbrella and wouldn't help to carry her bags. She crossed her arms over her chest and watched. But she had to admit, the girl had some skill, and she definitely wanted her on the squad. Any differences had to be forgotten, and they were.

"Well," she started once Yuuki was finished and Hryshen had taken her spot. She put her pencil to her lips to show that she was taking this very seriously. "Lunie, Yuuki, you're both in!" She exclaimed, throwing her arms into the air.

"Anyone else?" She looked over to Laura Lane and Deneli, who had both entered but had yet to try out. She raised her eyebrows impatiently.

Embarrassment shortly overcame the feluis, shown plainly by the nervous smile, the way his ears pinned back and the awkward way in which he seemed to forget to pick himself from the ground at all. Larita's words of approval earned a giddish giggle of pride, and he bowed his head before looking to where Yuuki was performing.

His eyes widened in awe. She was better. So much better. She could so much more tricks, her moves were faster, had more rhythm, and most importantly, she had wings. He frowned, almost somewhat bitterly. There were so many people he knew with wings or could fly - why couldn't he have them too? Only half aware, he gingerly stroked the feathers on his collar.

His vacantly unhappy expression was soon replaced with sheer joy at Larita's acceptance. "Oh! Thank you so much!" he giggled, scooting across the floor towards them on all fours. He then sat cross legged nearby the table - most definitely not considering himself regal or worthy enough to sit on a chair.

Jami watched as Larita said they were on the team. No doubt they had nice drills even thought they weren't planned but who could turn down yuuki and lunie, They were to nice! She waited for some one else to go. Not much else she could do. She created a small flame and started playing with it.

Yuuki smiled nervously in thanks, feeling more than a little embarrassed. she pulled her wings in, and quietly remained standing. she looked over towards the other student who had tried out....lunie? he had been very graceful, and his enthusiasm at being accepted was adorable. she couldn't help but smile
