Leon didn't get the opportunity to see whether his projectile had home or not. Currently, he was too distracted by the giraffe that had "accompanied" him into the air. This wasn't a particularly good place for it. Not too long an oversized lizard had managed to fall through the cliff and impale his foot on a sharp rock. That guy was still on crutches.

Leon found he had to pump his wings hard to stay in the air, and he didn't want to land again. He wanted this kid off of him so he scoop up his spellbook and get the hell out of dodge. It seemed with each flap of his wings, the two rose higher above the zombie.

"Moron, you're the one holding onto me." Rein's legs wrapping around his own only served to make things that much more awkward and frustrating. In an attempt to regain some of his lost personal space, Leon moved to put a hand in Rein's face and push him away, maybe making it more difficult to hang on.

"Moron, you're the one flying!" He huffed and looked down. There, the angry zombie, now freed and quite hostile, was reaching up for them. He squeaked and tried to bury his face in to Leon's side. "Never mind! Don't put me down!" As a hand was placed in his way though, he blinked and pouted as Leon tried to push him away. Wasn't the boy paying attention? If he let go now, he'd fall! Well...all of a couple feet, but still, the way he was clinging made the drop around or a little less than 10 ft. The problem was, was where he'd fall. Right on to an angry zombie! Even as a necromancer, he couldn't control it like this! In a rather childish impulse to simply get the hand away from his face, he opened his mouth and tried to drag his tongue over the offending palm.

Leon's wings struggled to keep the two of them in the air. He could carry a fairly decent amount of weight while flying, but hovering the way he was doing now was beginning to get difficult. He felt himself sagging in the air and couldn't quite maneuver himself to lift up higher with the way Rein was holding onto him.

"It's your zombie, isn't it? Give it a hug or something!" Leon couldn't stop the look of genuine surprise that crossed his face as Rein licked his hand. Really, though? Having absolutely no regard for the boy, Leon summoned a small amount of energy to both hands. Just enough to give Rein a light burn. He moved to place the other hand on Rein's arm, hoping the heat would force Rein to let go. They continued sagging in the air, and the zombie seemed to be closer and closer.

They were getting lower and lower and he could feel the anger that that zombie was leaking. Ohh, he was so not pleased and he was very willing to tear up the pair of them in the air once they got low enough.

The tall boy winced at the burn to his tongue and he jerked his head away.

"Ow! Hey! Stop that!" Great, now his tongue felt funny as he ran it along the roof of his mouth. That was not nice. He glanced over to his arm and saw the redness that his skin was indeed being cooked. However, the look on the boy's face told it was more of an annoyance and a slight pain than actually being the searing feeling it should have been to a normal human. He was so happy right about now that he was old enough he was starting to loose pain reception abilities.

"Currently, it's not my zombie, it's A zombie, because you made it angry!" He huffed and wracked his brain for something that might work. "Okay okay, lets work together here. If you can fly and/or protect me long enough, I can try and get it back under control. And that way, it wont go off and start roaming the school grounds either? Alright?"

Leon scoffed at Rein's "plan". He didn't have control over his own damn zombie? "Or I could just kill it." This idea seemed at least more entertaining than Rein's. Either way, the first order of business was to get Rein away from him.

Leon extinguished the little bit of energy he'd summoned. Leon moved to grab Rein's elbow with hand hand and one of the loops of his jeans with the other, hoping a secure grip on the boy would get him to stop clinging. He kicked his legs free of Rein's so he could direct himself easier, but he still sagged in the air as he flew, only pulling up again when he'd moved away from the zombie. After they were a fair distance away, Leon lowered himself again and released his hold on Rein, hoping to drop him roughly back onto the ground. He then landed himself and turned to face the zombie. He much preferred his own plan over Rein's. If Rein wanted to save the zombie, well then he'd better work fast.

"No! You can not!" Rein huffed. Really, did this boy just NOT listen? He rolled his glowing eyes and was about to say more, but it cut off into a squeak and his quickly shut his mouth as he felt the hold secured on his pant belt loops under his long jacket. He glanced down almost mistrustfully, though he did feel better with the boy actually helping him than just trying to shove him away. Maybe, he was being reasonable after all. Even though he didn't like his legs just hanging.

Eyes trailing after the zombie as they moved away, Rein was going over how to get back control of it when he was roughly dropped. The suddenness had his grip around Leon's waist breaking. The thin boy yelped as his bony butt hit the ground rather gracelessly, falling onto his back, forearms back to brace himself and legs splayed. Dignity more sore than his body, Rein rose back on to his feet, flicking a hand to toss his messed and draping hair over his shoulder in an indignant manner. Seeing Leon turning away from him to refocus back on the furious zombie, Rein's eyes sparked in electric irritation.

A frustrated huffing scream made it's way from his throat in a short burst as he clenched his hands at his sides. Striding up, he stalked around the boy in a few, quick steps, turning to glare into the other's eyes.

"You are infuriating!" On the last word, Rein lifted his hand to throw his weight into shoving the other's shoulders, which, admittedly, wasn't that much weight or strength. Just the average strength of a weak, scrawny, underweight, 15 year old human boy who had ever lifted the most at one time when carrying piles of books.

The zombie, in the meantime, had started limping it's way towards them, furious grunting and nonsense noises streaming from it's loose jaw'd mouth. It reached pathetically in front of him, as if that would make him reach the pair that much faster. He grabbed at air, as he would at their necks. Rein's own anger only seemed to fuel him.

Leon did nothing to stop the push. Rather, he used it as the last deciding factor to just get the hell out. So he used the minuscule amount of momentum he gained from it to pull himself backwards and and into the air, specifically pulling away from Rein so he wouldn't an unwanted passenger again.

Leon gave a shrug that included his arms. "Fine, you handle it." He gave Rein a wide berth and made his way to his books and bag which had been left at the edge of the cliff. He landed only long enough to sweep them up. Then he directed himself to glide out over the ocean, for the moment not really concentrating on his flight as he stuffed the Latin dictionary and spellbook into his bookbag.

Leon was just about to make his exit when he caught another glance at the angry zombie. What a ridiculous creature. To think Rein seemed to spend his life with the likes of them. Leon change direction and flew to a far wall of the cliff, pulling back with his wings to slow his flight so he wouldn't crash into it. His feet were the first to touch. He found a handhold in the stone and held onto it, looking everything like some kind of rockclimber.

He retracted his wings and slung his backpack over shoulders before releasing them again, holding them in close. The sides of the backpack were severely worn from wearing while his wings were out. He'd need a new one soon. Leon turned his attention back to Rein and the zombie to see if anything had happened. Currently he hung over an area just between the zombie and Rein, but too high up for the zombie to be a threat to him.

The tall boy scoffed and rolled his eyes. He watched the boy fly off with a disapproving frown. Fine. Be that way. Rein huffed and turned, purposefully putting Leon out of mind. Really, how rude. He had never-

AH! ANGRY ZOMBIE!

Rein's eyes widened as the undead man turned to narrow a furious gaze on him: the new target, having taken the time to watch Leon go out of range. However, Rein was the one still reachable and just as worthy for this rage, apparently. It stretched thin, decaying limbs out and started forward as a surprisingly fast pace for being...well...dead. The Lijk backed up, frantically trying to think of something, anything. Rein lifted his own hands and spread them out in front him. Concentrating, little sparks of electricity flickered over his fingers, but they were inconsequential. Cursing quietly under his breath, Rein tried again. Still more sparks.

Brows furrowing, the necromancer took a deep breath and, as he exhaled, willed the zombie to cease. Like a lighter finally catching, a steady current of jumping lightning-like streams of silvery light coursed over his arms. The zombie paused, seeming particularly confused for a moment. It...didn't quite know what to make of this new development. It stuttered in it's step, but...well, it was angry, and it was the fault of these two that he was back and hated. The winged one had hurt him, and this one had been his accomplice. It strove against its orders and made a sort of frustrated noise as it lumbered at a slower pace towards Rein, seemingly like it was struggling against a current of water.

Leon watched with mild interest as the sparks flickered at the boy's hands. He looked between Rein and the zombie a few times, noting that nothing seemed to be happening. He chuckled at that, but then stopped as it finally seemed to be working.

Leon looked back at the zombie again, watching to see what it was going to do next. He laughed once more as it decided to continue towards Rein. Leon had said that his own way was easier. Rein didn't want to listen. Oh well. Rein had failed. Now it was Leon's turn.

He kicked off the cliff wall and took to the air more. He dipped just a bit to get closer to the zombie's level, but not close enough that the zombie would be able to touch him. He held one hand out towards the zombie. The simplicity of the action was almost too good to believe. He uttered a Latin spell out loud so it would successfully project itself to ground right underneath the zombie.

Leon no longer needed to say the phase through matter spell aloud. It was one of the first spells he'd learned, and he'd used it almost all his life. When he wasn't casting it flush against a solid surface though, he like to say it out loud anyway, just in case. Hopefully, his aim was spot on enough, and the spell casted large enough for the zombie to slip through it easily. If not, the spell may close before the zombie makes it all the way through. As hilarious as that would be to watch, he didn't want to see the zombie half-buried in the ground when he came back here later.

Not entirely concerned for it, Leon proceed to fly back out over the ocean before tilting and heading back in the direction of the castle. He'd had enough of zombies and the necromancer for one day.
