"Light shows?" he echoed, before his eyes lit up in recognition. "Oh! Like fireworks yes? I do like the fireworks..!" He smiled weakly. "If they weren't so noisy... You saw fireworks show, yes? Long time ago?" It was sometime during the summer, he recalled. The night had gone to waste... with the strangest tasting water he'd ever tried.

He watched the cluster of water in her hands with interest, watching as the little people started to combine. He was almost disappointed, before he recognised the form that the water was beginning to take - and smiled with glee. "Aah! It looks like owl!" he shrieked, leaning forward to gaze at it closely. "It... it beautiful!"

A sudden urge hit him... It was... so adorable, he just couldn't leave it alone. His arms opened, before reaching to coil his arms lovingly around it in a hug.

Yuuki saw Lunie's arms reaching out, and she quickly moved to make the owl more like snow. it would be chilly when he hugged it, and it might leave him a little damp, but she'd managed to make another semi-save.

"i'm glad you like it Lunie--that's the first time i've made an owl."


"no, i never got to see the fireworks. i got...sick...in the caves. jami had to be brought back to the castle, and i went back too. i just didn't come back out. i mean, i was alright, but i just figured it would be better if i stayed inside."

the whole summer get together had been a bit of a bust for her. the beach had been fun, though hot, and the cave had started out fun, but had turned very sucky. she'd gone from dancing with a skeleton and a rat to twitching on the cave floor. right after which, jami had passed out and owen had carried her back while yuuki flew to the infirmary to wait for them. she remembered making them sandwiches, and that was about it.

Upon wrapping his arms around the supposed owl, he was surprised to find how chilly it was. Not exactly the huggable, warm owl he was wanting. But it was a minor flaw, and he continued to hold it preciously tightly as if he owned it. "I love so much... I call it Bird.. face!" Oohhh, did he excel at name giving.

"You got sick?" He turned a worried look towards Yuuki. "Oh... That is such sadness! I was at caves, yes, it was fun. But such a shame... Fireworks truly is beautiful! To miss being so sad." He sighed disappointedly. "Maybe there would be a next time for you." A smile formed.

"yes, i hope there will be a second chance, but if not, there's always terri--" she broke off. well, at least, there would be. as soon as a few wrinkles were ironed out, she'd be able to see her family again, hopefully. meanwhile, she smiled at lunie's love of the owl.

"hmm....i wonder if there are any real snowy owls around here? i wonder how hard it would be to find one..."

Yuuki decided that she would definitely have to add this to her list of things to do. snowy owls were just so gorgeous with their white feathers, especially the fluffy ones that cover their feet in a snow-shoe type style. they nested on the ground....the mountains perhaps? her mind drifted a bit at the possibility of finding one.

He wasn't sure why she decided to suddenly break off. Was there something wrong with Terri? Well, he didn't knew who this Terri was anyway, and the wobbly, clear liquid was hardly a reliable indicator of his appearance.

His fingers crept up lovingly along the owl's sides, smoothly rubbing it's feathers. He'd only known the thing for a minute, and already Lunie saw Bird Face as the most brilliant pet he'd ever had. Imagine all the walks he could take her on, all the fun they'd have. As far as he was concerned, this thing that Yuuki had magically sculpted was alive.

"Oh! This is real, yes? Is snowy, and is owl. I find one right here!" he giggled teasingly, before pinching on a wing 'feather'. A wonderful addition to his collection, he might say. He looked up to Yuuki. "Can I have feather?" he hopefully chirped.

"er-well, this owl is snow...a replica." she felt like a antagonist in a story for having to say this to such a sweet character as Lunie. "she's unfortunately not real...i can't make real, living things appear. if you take a feather, it will melt. but..."

she paused and looked down at her blue wings as they shifted a bit--they'd been tucked against her back before.

"if you like feathers, you could take one of mine with you."

she smiled slightly, hoping that this would be a good enough present for the felius.

"Replicaaa?" he naively echoed, his head tilted at an odd degree. However, he did understand her following words, and his awed expression soon drooped into a disappointed pout. His arms, however, refused to be removed from its cold form. "Can I keep her anyway, yes?" he asked, still snuggling like no tomorrow. He didn't even seem to mind how damp his fur was becoming.

Her offer did cause him look to her in wonder. "...Your feathers?" he gasped, almost as if he could not believe his fortune. His grin split into an excited giggle, and he held out one hand excitedly. "Ohhh! Please please please thank you! Is so kind! I loving feathers yes, and blue ones--- eee, I never having a blue feather before! So cool!" he squee'd, looking to her in anticipation.

Yuuki smiled at Lunie's excitement, and gently stretched out her left wing. "My friend did this for me once, actually," she murmured. carefully, she reached around and pinched one of her feathers. with a little pull, it came free from the rest--it felt a little like plucking a hair. she twirled the cyan feather between her fingers with a little smile on her face before setting it lightly in the felius's outstretched hands. the one she'd picked out was about 10 inches long, and it shimmered when it caught the bit of sunlight that was visible.

"She did?" Lunie asked, the look he gave her encouraging her to continue. But his attention was soon absorbed by prospect of owning a magical blue feather. The ones he usually got were grey, white, black, brown, or often a mix. Never something as vibrant as this!

As it was placed into his hand, the owl was immediately forgotten. His smile widened, as he adoringly twirled his fingers around the barbs. It was so long too! He was already fantasizing whatever fashionable wear he could make with this.

He bowed down low - so low, he was practically looking at his own knees. "Thank you so much! How can is I repay you?"

Yuuki smiled to lunie.

" the best way to repay me...is to just being your self. we're best friends, right?" ^^
Yuuki smiled at the felius happily. he was so sweet, sometimes she just wanted to wrap him up and take him home with her or something. she gently set her wing over lunie's shoulders in a kind of half hug with a little smile.
"and other than that, just take good care of that feather, ne?" her voice was light with teasing

Lunie listened eagerly, his ears swivelled towards her, awaiting her wise words. Being...himself? How could he not be himself? He was always being himself! It did perplex him for a moment, before breaking out into a wild grin at her following words. "Best frieends?!" he shrieked with joy. "You really think yes?! Best of best of best of friends?!" He reached to cling to Yuuki's side in a loving hug.

As the wing was set around his shoulder, he broke out in excited giggles. "I take so good care I promise! I treat it like.. is.. royal thing."

well, Yuuki had certainly never guessed that her day would take such a turn. she'd made a new friend--best friend, in fact. she didn't give her feathers out to just anybody, that was for sure. Yuuki smiled and patted Lunie's back.
"i'm positive that you will take very good care of it. now, with that said....i think i have to go," her face saddened lightly at leaving the cute little creature, but she really did have to be off...she had a few things to take care of.

Lunie's absurdly happy grin deflated in a matter of seconds at Yuuki's words. It was as if the very prospect of not pestering his newfound buddy 24/7 was a depressing one indeed. "Go? So soon?" he whined, his head hanging, his ears drooping. He poutily looked to the floor, before giving a hopeful glance back up at the girl. "We... we meet again.. really soon, yes?"

Allowing his arms to slide away from Yuuki, he reached out for Happy Flower, watching the plant return to coilings its tendrils around his forearm then returning to his shoulders. "I.. I do hope you have fun wherever you going. If you looking for me, I usually here!" He pointed a finger at BATney in the distance. "Not want her to get too lonely now." He beamed, returning to his usually optimistic self.

"of course we'll see each other again--and soon, i promise. i'll make sure to keep an eye out for you by BAT-ney."

Yuuki gave a promising nod to Lunie, before turning, and spreading her wings. they shifted for a moment, before she launched herself into the air, and then gave a few powerful pumps. the air caught her quickly, and she was up. she made sure to look behind her to wave at the felius, and to memorize the location of the big tree that he loved so much, and then she was gone.
